I know you have been anxiously waiting for my very first post on my blog. I sincerely apologize to have kept you waiting…I hope it was worth the wait.
There are a lot of bloggers out here blogging about a whole lot of things. I have friends who blog about food, some natural hair, others writing, others have vlogs about travelling and dance. I thought about why not blog about real life, my life as it happens, my experiences, joy, pain, disappointment, fears, hopes, laughter, excitement, GOD, trending topics…. LOVE.
So, I know you probably have debated this with your friends or saw it trending on Social media this past week. You know what?
This is not the first time I have seen such a reaction from People in this country pertaining to a matter of public interest. I am not saying that it is wrong to criticize where necessary but criticism must be constructive.
The issue of Daliso Sails, who I believe has become more popular than he was before his infamous interview. So apparently, he was voted as the man of the match and was being interviewed by a journalist like myself.in the duty of call, the journalist was just doing what they are meant to do, so they fired an English question to Sails who boldly responded to the question in Chichewa, our mother tongue.
Alas! had he known that his response would make him this famous, he should have started winning “man of the match” title a long time ago. Wagging tongues went about how he is illiterate and cannot speak English. Others to the point of saying he has disgraced his country.
I applaud this bold young man, he is intelligent than most people that were wagging tongues about what language he used to answer the question. What most people missed in his response is that, He understood the question and answered accordingly thinking at the back of his head that a lot of people from back home would be or were watching the game. Why not speak in a language my people can understand? That should have been what prompted him to give an answer in our beautiful, yes bea…utiful mother tongue.
Such Patriotism, doing it for the people that matter, not for the people that insensibly criticize.
Leo can’t speak English nor can CR7 But and a big BUT because its Daliso we want to make an issue where there is none. HELL NAH.
Well let me add that I remember watching 20 years of hard talk not so long ago. The then Venezuelan president responded English questions in his mother tongue. Yes, on a hard talk interview on BBC Yea you read it right BBC as in British Broadcasting corporation. That should count for something yes no…
Tay Grin aka awilo le Tay “the Nyau king”, one of the most successful young people I know in the country I must admit, posted pictures of himself and Rick Ross, Big Sean and went on to say how he had a royal stick handmade for Rick aka the boss. If that post is still there, take a minute look at the comments.
You will be like wow! Like what is wrong with people in my country? Why are people so irrelevant? Why the hate? Why not appreciate that the guy is doing something that is putting the music industry on the map? Wonders will truly never end***
These are the times that make me sing the part in the national anthem that goes and I quote Hunger, diseases and E.N.V.Y. with thoughts dating back to the composer. He composed after serious observation of how we degrade each other, how we don’t want to see each other do good, how we find fault in everything a person does***
It is quite clear why after 53 years of independence, we are where we are today there is too much ENVY in this country.
“Chiwanda cha NSANJE” (SPIRIT OF ENVY) DEMETI DEMETI DEMETI

From these two incidents, I have drawn lessons People will always be people. I looked closely at these situations and noticed something. I was like wait these guys are doing something for themselves, something that will benefit them. They are both pushing their hustles.
I will do something for me, shut my ears to all the negativity in the world, compete with myself to be a better me than I was yesterday. I chose to do it for me and the people that matter. Not the crowd that judges me from one incident, one mistake something that can prove to be a stepping stone for me.

Don’t matter whose eyes are watching, whose ears are listening, I will do it for MYSELF, I won’t be less of a person because its me(YOU), I chose to be ME(YOU),

Stop Body Shaming

For this particular topic, I am really struggling with where to begin so I will just simply go with the flow. Since time immemorial, my country people have always had issues with how women look and dress. Let me take you back to the time a woman was stripped naked in Blantyre town for wearing something “the streets” deemed inappropriate. The strange thing about cases like these, is the fact that most of the clothes that are seen as not fit to wear are actually sold by the same vendors that undress women. If people are not talking about how short something a woman is wearing, they are talking about how fat, slim, figureless one is. They are including in their diction words that are demeaning and inappropriate. Fast forward to last week, there was an inaugural annual fashion show event at Bingu International Conference center (BICC) by Mabel Khonje dubbed “Boudoir” which translates to a woman’s private bedroom. The fashion show was showcasing lingerie and swim suits. To keep you ...

CHOOSE KINDNESS

14 days into July, well the second half of the year, not that anybody is actually counting but that’s that. I should have been posting this piece on July first or somewhere there about but Personally, the year has been going unbelievably “Jumanji” the next level for me. Will get into the “what nots “of what has been going on another time or never. All I know is I have been feeling like nothing has been going my way literally nothing. Modern slang “nothing doing” accurately describes the scenario at the moment.     Yes, it is as bad as it sounds, so I won’t be bringing to the lime light the intricate details of the scenarios but I will paint a picture in case someone out there feels like they are alone. I made it to top three of an internship that I have always wanted only to be left out, the writing gig I enjoyed so much fell through because my life was actually falling apart, I met someone who I thought I could build something with but gosh it ended in tears. So litera...
